After working non-stop for nearly two decades near the concrete jungle of Chicago, Jim Boyne is ready for a change. Lawyer turned Financial Executive, Jim has dedicated his life to the world of investment management and money, but at the cost of spending time with his family and watching his kids grow up. Jim and his wife, Leagh have been discussing how they could find a healthy work/life balance. They want to set a strong example for their kids: with privilege comes responsibility to give back. As the saying goes, money truly does not buy happiness. In a moment of serendipity, Jim sees a job posting for the Executive Director of the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club. The not-for-profit mentors youth in sports and instills lessons in leadership and team effort. Jim takes on the job of CEO as the club sends off its latest athletes to the Sochi Olympics. So, the Chicago couple uproot their family during the school break in search of a new home located ten minutes from the ski slopes.
