Season 1, Episode 1

Nashville's Stairway to Heaven

Nashville house flipper, Troy Shafer, renovates homes in historic communities throughout Nashville, Tennessee. Reviving historic homes is as important to Troy as is accomplishing a financially sound flip. As with many of the old homes he acquires there are always unforeseen challenges, because one never really knows what one has until they begin pulling back the years of neglect. Facing all those challenges and more, Troy calls upon designer friend, Alex Cirimelli, to help tackle this 1932 Craftsman style bungalow. The bungalow features a stairway that seems to be nothing more than a code-clashing and design roadblock. Turning this code-defying set of stairs into a 'Stairway to Heaven' may just be the answer Troy and Alex have been looking for and the key to the most successful flip they've ever shared.
