Season 3, Episode 6

Rustic Backyard Kitchen

It's not like Alison Victoria to back down to a challenge, but when a couple's indoor kitchen is too tiny for a crash, Alison decides to take the crash outside. With only a small grill in her way, Alison uses the empty backyard to create a rustic outdoor kitchen that feels just like an indoor space. By replacing old siding with ceramic tiles and shingles and building a cedar pergola and deck, the bare backyard turns into a room. Alison pulls out of all of the stops with a gourmet grill, refrigerator, sink, faucet and giant stone pizza oven. She gives the couple additional storage with cabinetry fitted for the outdoors and an island they'd never be able to fit in their traditional kitchen. To keep things fun, DIY swing seats, an herb garden and a log bench finish off the design.
