Chevron Chic Kitchen

Alison Victoria perfectly blends this couple's love of art and eclectic design with their need for more storage and functionality in the kitchen. The drab lifeless kitchen with its "surgery room" island and "poo brown" grout is transformed into a stylishly funky kitchen with a colored range and playfully modern chevron patterned tile. Homeowners can finally enjoy the view out of their kitchen window with a smart sink relocation to the revamped island. Rich wood flooring laid in a deceptively simple chevron pattern replaces old tile flooring and the unattractive cabinets are donated and replaced with a full sized pantry and cream-colored custom cabinetry. A banquet with a DIY chevron pattern painted on it accents the theme and adds just the right art deco touch to the seating area.
