Season 1, Episode 1

European Cottage in Colorado

With its scenery, outdoor activities, craft beer and old-town historic district, Fort Collins, CO, is often called one of the most perfect cities to live in. For local renovators Annie and Jordan Obermann, however, the houses in this city -- including the Mehaffey's home -- are far from perfect. This dysfunctional cottage has so many additions that guest must walk through the master bedroom to get anywhere. Annie and Jordan plan to remap the entire home, give the main space more natural light and provide the new master suite some much-needed privacy. They're also pitching the ceiling where they'll add beams from a 100-year-old recycled bridge and find usable space for a guest room in the attic. Finally, the stucco outside, giant retractable glass door to the front patio and the spa-like plaster shower will all modernize the home while giving it an aged look that will truly make the transformation remarkable.
