Dan and Sarah bought their home two years ago with dreams of backyard bliss. They planned to extend the home's existing deck to create a more safe and usable space for their children to play. After admiring their neighbors' deck and receiving a quote that seemed too good to be true, they hired the same person for the job. By the time they realized the project was much bigger than anticipated -- and vastly underquoted -- it was too late to turn back.
