Shauna and Anicka: The Design Plan
Kitchens sell houses, so the sisters on Team Red decide to spend the majority of their remaining renovation fund on the kitchen makeover. They budget $15,000 for the space.
Shauna and Anicka: Kitchen, Before
Crumbling cabinetry, barely-functioning appliances and years of grime met the sisters when they arrived at their condo.
Shauna and Anicka: Kitchen, After
The sisters chose creamy white cabinets in a transitional style that will appeal to a wide range of buyers, plus new stainless steel appliances. The neutral color palette is accented by a thin orange stripe.

Shauna and Anicka: The Sisters and the Judge
Judge Scott McGillivray loved the Red Team's neutral palette, but wasn't a fan of the orange stripe or the unfinished details. He also questioned their choice to skip the purchase of a new washer and dryer. The sisters spent $15,543.53 on the finished design.
Curtis and Amanda: The Design Plan
Curtis and Amanda are also willing to spend big when it comes to the kitchen design. They plan to spend no more than $20,000 on the renovation, which will include converting large water heater to a space-saving tankless version.
Curtis and Amanda: Kitchen, Before
A nearly-demolished kitchen greeted the Silver Team when they moved into the run-down Unit B condo.
Curtis and Amanda: Kitchen, After
The Silver Team chose traditional cream floor-to-ceiling cabinetry to make the ceilings appear lofty. Rustic details and turquoise accents unite the kitchen with the palette used in the rest of the house.

Curtis and Amanda: Judges' Tour
Curtis and Amanda explain their design choices to judge Scott McGillivray. He loved their tankless water heater decision and cabinet choice, but thought the pressed tin backsplash was "very busy." The couple went over budget, with their renovation price coming in at $22,044.03. That leaves them just over $300 to complete the remaining rooms.
Brian and Craig: The Design Plan
Brian and Craig budget the least money among the teams — about $14,000 — for their kitchen renovation.
Brian and Craig: Kitchen, Before
The twins' kitchen was dark, dreary and run-down on condo move-in day.
Brian and Craig: Kitchen, After
White, modern cabinetry and a soft gray paint color gives the twins' kitchen the "bachelor pad" feel they've established in other rooms. A custom built-in bar and desk create additional functionality in this space.

John and Whitney: The Design Plan
John and Whitney also decide to spend big in the kitchen to create a U-shaped design and an adjacent dining area. They budget $14,000 for the project.

John and Whitney tour the kitchen with judge Scott McGillivray, who loved their modern design scheme, but not the wasted corner cabinet space or the cramped appliance layout. High labor costs made the couple spend $17,300.20 on their renovation, $3,000 more than they originally budgeted.
Scott McGillivray Tallies the Scores
Judge Scott McGillivray writes down the pros and cons of each space before declaring this week's winning team — and the recipients of $10,000!
And the Winner Is...
The Silver Team! Scott was impressed with Curtis and Amanda's decision to open up the space with a tankless water heater, and he loved the remodeled room's ample cabinet space.
Congratulations, Curtis and Amanda
