This week's challenge prize? The winning team gets a day of behind-the-scenes reporter and designer David Bromstad's services.
Expert Judge
Nicole Curtis, designer, renovator and real estate expert and host of HGTV's Rehab Addict, will judge the teams' work on aesthetics, functionality and added value.

Red Team: The Design Plan
Sisters Anicka and Shauna won the first master bedroom challenge, giving them $5,000 of extra renovation budget. This gives them a cushion to choose higher-end fixtures and finishes in both bathrooms.

The red team budgeted $10,000 towards both bathrooms, but spent a total of $11,904.28, leaving them $22,436.98 for the remaining rooms.

This run-down bathroom was a buyer's nightmare, with a dirty, dated tub and tiles and outdated fixtures.

Anicka and Shauna chose a neutral brown color palette that complements the adjacent master bedroom, and added a touch of functional glam with a sparkling tiled shower niche.

Debris, banged-up drywall and nightmarish conditions greeted the red team upon arrival to the condo.

The sisters cleaned up the bathroom by adding a new neutral paint color that coordinates with the upstairs color scheme. Repaired drywall, new flooring and an updated sink and toilet ensure it's both stylish and functional.

Shauna, who often completes murals in the homes she and Anicka remodel, painted this abstract artwork on reclaimed wood.

This room's grimy surfaces looked ready to condemn, but Curtis and Amanda were able to reface the original tub and toilet to save renovation dollars. Intricate custom tile work in the shower adds beachy style, while the wooden shelf gives the bathroom a rustic feel.

Blue Team: The Design Plan
After trying to do all the work on the master bedroom themselves, carpenters Brian and Craig decide to save time by hiring more subcontractors in the bathroom. They'll create The Block's only walk-in shower, with a tiled enclosure and sleek glass doors.

The Black Team! Judge Nicole Curtis thought the wall bump-out, double vanities and clean, modern design scheme added the most value. John and Whitney gain an advantage next week when they'll get David Bromstad's design services for one day.
