Season 7, Episode 1

Peaceful Asian Bedroom

Homeowner Elizabeth McGee has lots of doors and windows in her bedroom, which has left her confused regarding furniture placement. She needs a tranquil and unified look, so host Karen McAloon and the Design Remix team take inspiration from the Asian-style bed. They create a peaceful Asian theme with a bamboo wall treatment, soothing wall colors, unique one-of-a-kind art pieces and a custom-made headboard to anchor the bed.

Season 7, Episode 2

Colorful Vintage Kitchen

Homeowners Sal and Grace Curcio are at a loss in designing their kitchen—it's kind of country, and they're not at all. The room takes a turn from boring to bright when the Design Remix team arrives. A cherry red paint job on the linoleum floor, magnetic boards made from metal sheeting and wooden fruit pieces, and an oil cloth treatment on the table are some of the small changes that give the kitchen a completely new look.

Season 7, Episode 3

Contemporary, Casual Family Room

The Design Remix team must try to strike a balance between fun for kids and sophisticated for adults in a very awkward family room. They rearrange the furniture into defined areas, make the fireplace a focal point with iron paint, and create a cool chalkboard coffee table for the kids. Final touches are a candle chandelier and an elegant buffet.

Season 7, Episode 4

Colorful Contemporary Office

Homeowner and teacher Kim Haji isn't sure how to decorate her very long home office, which she also calls "The Bowling Alley." She wants a bright and energetic space, but can't see past the clutter and clunk of her old stuff. Host Karen McAloon and the Design Remix team of designers shows her how to use bold colors and fun shapes to transform the messy office into a spacious, organized room that can inspire both students and friends.

Season 7, Episode 5

Casual Basement Lounge

When host Karen McAloon rummages for things to remix in this room, her hands come up a little bit empty forcing her to do something unprecedented in Design Remix history—breaking the $50 budget! Still, the team gets creative and doesn't waste anything for this basement beautification creating a large area run out of bathmats and updating a favorite old chair.

Season 7, Episode 6

Contemporary Guest Room

Homeowners Daniel and Heather Cutter’s guestroom plays second fiddle to the couch for their frequent guests. The Design Remix team chooses a rich, dark color for the walls, transforms some pieces into antique, expensive-looking furniture and adds some contemporary art. The lackluster bed is anchored with a headboard made from some plywood, existing throw pillows and some fabric. Even the mirrored closet doors are creatively covered with some burlap, all together creating a very welcoming guest room indeed.

Modern Brazilian Kitchen

Homeowners John Kinnaman and Farhana Currimbhoy call their kitchen a "relic of the 50s" with its Formica countertops, wallpaper residue and dark cabinetry. They want something that reflects their international travels, so host Karen McAloon scouts out a bright painting that will be the anchor for the kitchen's new look. With a little paint, some new window dressings and furniture stained to look more modern, the kitchen is no longer such a 50s flashback travesty. Instead, they can cook up a Carnaval and lunch in the lush colors of the tropics in a kitchen that brings them back to Brazil.

Season 7, Episode 8

Jackie Kennedy Inspired Guestroom

Homeowners Kristin and Tom Heckman have a huge guestroom with blank walls, except for a poster of the Jackie Kennedy dress collection. The Design Remix team uses the art as inspiration for designing the room. Simple treatments on unused furniture yield a rich, bold look, and scrap lumber and fabric are used to create a lush new feel for the room. Now instead of being a bland afterthought, this guestroom feels posh enough for the famous first lady herself.

Season 7, Episode 9

Tropical Tiki Office

As avid collectors, homeowners Mel Waldorf and Jessica Lindsey have a jackpot of fun finds to use, so creating a very personalized space is easy. While incorporating bright and fun elements, host Karen McAloon and the Design Remix team give the room purpose, clear up clutter and form functioning workspaces. The result is a home office that's practical, yet playful and as tempting as a tropical tiki island.

Tranquil Spa Bedroom

Host Karen McAloon steps in to help Jody Rennick and Glenn Krohner create a spa bedroom. For this design, an amazing paint and plaster treatment that looks like bamboo envelopes the room in a serene setting. A simple change in furniture arrangement makes use of the fantastic view and gives the illusion of two separate spaces, creating a tranquil getaway right in this couple's bedroom.

Season 7, Episode 11

Modernized Antique Living Room

Homeowners Derrick Cooper and Erica Perry-Cooper call upon the help of host Karen McAloon and her Design Remix team to transform their living room. A lighter color for the walls gives the room a more modern feel, slipcovers tie mismatched furniture together, an old estate sale cupboard becomes a TV cabinet and the fireplace gets a slick new look.

Season 7, Episode 12

Crafty Sewing Room

Handbag designer Lisa Christophe's oldest son has left the nest, and she wants to convert his old room into her very own crafting space. With a little innovation and a lot of organization, the Design Remix team using original ideas to create storage and make functional pieces out of items from around the house. Projects include a unique wall stenciling treatment and a dress form-turned-lamp, creating a unique and inspirational space for all of her sewing endeavors.

Season 7, Episode 13

Sophisticated Safari Office

Homeowner Daniel Oppenheim has his own Urban Safari business, but his home office is as wild and eccentric as the tours he leads. A giraffe-inspired faux wall treatment and jungle-themed homemade art keep the office space fun, while a custom-made calendar desk and wall shelving-turned-window seat provide the storage and organization the room desperately needs. The Design Remix team creates a truly one-of-kind space that’s as fun as his tours, yet sophisticated enough for the serious businessman that he is!
