'The Property Brothers' Tackle Renovation at 'The Brady Bunch' House With Maureen McCormick and Chris Knight

"Mom always said don’t play ball in the house... she said nothing about rocks!"

January 22, 2019

The newest episode of Building Brady is here and things are coming along at The Brady Bunch house! In the latest installment of HGTV’s exclusive digital series, the Property Brothers get to work on bringing to life some key details of the Brady abode. To help, they’ve brought in Maureen McCormick ("Marcia") and Christopher Knight ("Peter").

Maureen focuses her attention on collecting stones for the foyer, while Chris gets his hands dirty framing a new window and taking out an old one. Chris explains how the actual house is only one-story. However, when they used the facade of the house for The Brady Bunch, they hung another window on the outside to create an illusion that it was a two-story home. Well, illusion no longer!

Watch the episode below and don't forget to check HGTV.com/brady every Monday for new installments of Building Brady.

And In Case You Missed It...

On the previous episode of Building Brady, design and build manager Dylan Eastman takes us through The Brady Bunch house highlighting several important changes to be made. He also points out design elements that are truly unique to the time the house was built, including some very in-your-face wallpaper and carpeting in the bathroom.

Finally, I've got one more video for you. Barry Williams ("Greg") and Mike Lookinland ("Bobby") recently went live on Facebook for the very first time. As you'll see for yourself, the two are well on their way to becoming "social network mavens."
