Tudor Accents

The entryway of a Tudor-style home features ferns, vines and a floral wreath. Antique wicker furniture was painted charcoal gray to match the trim. The furniture is covered with black and white Sunbrella fabric trimmed in garden green. The bright green is repeated on the wicker stool and the fringed pillows.

Bountiful Basket

This Tudor-style front door is beautiful in itself, and the hanging basket adds even more appeal. The French basket is filled with dried leaves, buds, berries and a taxidermied pheasant. The arrangement also includes natural grasses, mosses and silk buds on vines and hydrangeas.

Unexpected Touches

A taxidermied pheasant is an unusual element in this basket decorating the front door of a Tudor-style home. The French basket is filled out by using natural grasses, mosses and dried berries, buds and leaves. There are a few silk buds on vines and hydrangeas.

All Out Rustic

The doorway of this log home by Mid-Atlantic Timberframes exudes rustic appeal. Key elements include the metal door hardware, lanterns, a carved bench, bear-themed sculpture and container plants with greenery.

Gorgeous Greenery

American wisteria climbs above the arched front door and stone entrance of this home. Alex Smith Garden Design trained the vines using wires and by pinning them to the structures. The doorway is surrounded by white garden plants including phlox, nicotiana and 'Limelight' hydrangeas.

White and Gray

A woven basket filled with dried hydrangeas and silvery-gray dusty miller (a silk version is used) decorates the door of this Tudor-style home.

Lush Archway

An akebia vine adds lushness and definition to this lovely arched door. Hostas and rhododendron serve as foundation plantings selected by Alex Smith Garden Design.

Framed by Blooms

This soaring arched front door is surrounded by clipped boxwood hedges, hybrid rhododendron and nasturiums in aged terra cotta pots. Alex Smith Garden Design also placed an antique climbing rose on the columns.

Whimsical and Rustic

A metal sculpture lends a whimsical element near a rustic wood door and in a landscaped entryway with open rafters.

Cottage Appeal

The stained front door and boxwood wreath enhances the cottage-style aesthetic of this metro Atlanta home. Interior designer Anisa Darnell selected a wooden door and stained it for a warm and weathered look. A modern lantern contrasts with the stone exterior and boxwoods in tall planters, says Darnell.

Circle of Boxwood

Interior designer Anisa Darnell used a fresh boxwood wreath to decorate her metro Atlanta front door, which has beveled glass. For the door's brown weathered look, she stained the door with a mixture of dark walnut and gray paint. The lines of the door are classic and timeless, she says.

Farmhouse-style Accessories

Beth Dana Design took on an extensive remodel with this early 1900s Santa Barbara farmhouse. The turquoise front door provides a jolt of color on the porch, which has barn-style lighting, a metal bin overflowing with firewood and a galvanized planter. Architectural elements include board and batten siding and a bead board ceiling.

Vintage Style

The farmhouse-style look continues to the porch of this California home. Beth Dana Design decorated the doorway with a galvanized container, turquoise chair and vintage-looking fixtures. The renovated exterior of the early 1900s home has board and batten siding and bright white wide trim.
