Many of the materials used to build Bahouth's treehouses were acquired from trash heaps and construction salvage.

The windows of Bahouth's treehouses are from an abandoned Masonic temple in South Carolina.

Bahouth built his treehouses on a wooded lot in Buckhead, and soon realized he needed more privacy. Consequently, he bought the adjoining lot, which is blanketed in Georgia pines and other evergreens.

The treehouses are even more spectacular at night when they are lit by white Christmas lights.
