Garden Gift: Forced Flower Bulbs

Beautiful forced amaryllis and paperwhite bulbs are a great way to bring the garden into your gift giving, and remind everyone about spring coming right around the corner. You can grab these bulbs from your local garden center, and hire the kids to help assemble the jars.

Materials:
- Amaryllis and paperwhite bulbs
- Jars*
- Stones
- Twine
Directions:
Fill your jars with a handful of stones from your garden or craft store. If you use an opaque jar like I did, then something simple like gravel will work perfectly. If you choose a clear jar, then try more decorative stones like river rocks or colorful glass gems.
Position the bulb to where about half of it is visible in the top of the jar.
Tie a holiday ribbon or colorful twine around the top and attach a note with directions to just add water.
