Amazon Has Everything You Need for a DIY Wedding Photo Booth

We recommend using a freestanding backdrop stand. With a stand, you aren't limited by your surroundings. You can set up your photo booth anywhere without relying on a wall to support the backdrop.

This one was super easy to set up, and it even comes with clips to hold a backdrop and sandbags to keep the poles in place.

Keep it simple with a tonal or solid-color backdrop. We used this festive gold fringe one, but you can also tape crepe paper streamers in complimentary colors to the stand's cross bar for an ombre effect.

There's no need to spend money on an extra photographer or photo booth rental when there are tons of affordable tripod options. We like this one because guests can use their own phones to take photos.

Don't want to purchase a tripod? Guests will be more than willing to snap eachother's photos while waiting for their turn in the photo booth.

If you're willing to shell out a bit more, buy an instant camera. This may be a worthwhile purchase if you plan to personally use the camera after the wedding. Otherwise, consider it an optional addition.

To reconcile the cost of purchasing a camera, use the photo booth as both an activity and a guestbook. We love the idea of using a mini photo album as a guestbook where family and friends can leave a note alongside their photo.
