Materials and Tools:

putty knife
plastic sheeting
ratcheting screwdriver with nut-driver attachment
Phillips screwdriver
tape

Steps:

1. Start with the top door, usually the freezer door, and work your way down. Pop the cap off the top hinge and remove the hinge using a ratcheting screwdriver with a nut-driver attachment.

2. Lift the freezer door a little bit and remove it. Pry off the caps covering the mounting holes on the opposite side of the refrigerator and pop them into the holes you just exposed. Use a putty knife to pry out the caps.

3. Keep your frozen foods cold by covering the front of the freezer area with a piece of plastic sheeting and securing it with tape.

4. Remove the large hinge pin and lift the refrigerator door off.

5. Lay the doors on a mat on the floor and remove the handles and hinge brackets.

6. Remove the bracket for the large hinge pin and reposition it on the opposite side of the refrigerator.

7. Pop off the grill at the base of the refrigerator and remove the bottom hinge-pin bracket. Move the pin to the other side of the bracket so it's closest to the edge of the refrigerator, and remount the bracket on the opposite side. Replace the grill.

8. Reverse the process and reinstall the doors and handles. Since they're on the flip side now, you may have to reverse the position and mount the handle from the refrigerator door on the freezer and vice versa.

9. Remove the plastic sheeting over the freezer and test the doors.
