DIY for Kids: Cubby With Legs
- plastic crate
- wood, birch panel (specially cut to fit inside and under the crate)
- angled top plates (hardware)
- furniture legs (McCobb Mid Century Modern 4" legs in white pine)
- medium-sized clear hooks, such as Command
- six 1-inch screws
Have a piece of wood cut to fit inside the crate as a shelf, and another piece to cover the bottom as a base. Sand all edges.
Screw an angled top plate to each corner of the wood base piece. Screw in legs.
Set crate on base as shown in final image above. From inside the crate, use a drill and six 1" screws (two in the front and back, and one on each side) to attach the crate to the base.
Affix four clear self-adhesive hooks inside the crate. Set the shelf on top of the hooks.
