Steve Watson from HGTV's Don't Sweat It shows how to change the look of a bathroom by tiling the floor. You'll need grout, cement board, screws, floor tile, tile saw, mastic trowel, grout trowel, tape measure, hammer, jigsaw, cordless drill and tile scraper. Remove any fixtures from the room, then bash the existing tile and remove it with a tile scraper. Attach the cement board and use the tooth-side of your grout trowel to spread thinset mortar on the floor. Apply tile and use spacers to keep it properly spaced.
Ceramic and porcelain tiles share many similarities, but they also have noteworthy differences. Learn the pros and cons of each material to help you decide which is the better choice for your home project.
