Homeowner Marsha Scott was drawn to this home for its cedar, stone and glass exterior, but the interior hadn’t been touched since it was built in 1978. Marsha reimagined and rebuilt the ranch home into a rustic lake retreat that reflects its surroundings.
A spacious deck offers a first glimpse at the home’s serene surroundings and rustic style.
Just off the deck, the living room is topped by a vaulted wood ceiling.
A sign reading “Marsha’s Lake House” sits proudly on the mantel of the living room’s stacked stone fireplace.
The vaulted wood ceiling continues into the dining room, with a sliding glass door leading to the deck.
The kitchen may have a rustic feel, but with all that counter space it’s suited for serious cooking.
Colorful artwork lines the wood paneled walls of the hallway.
Homeowner Marsha Scott added a master suite to the home’s three existing bedrooms.
Custom copper sinks from India and Michael Aram hardware lend a rustic yet elegant feel to the home’s four professionally designed bathrooms.
A grassy yard with flagstone walkways beckons you to the lake.
At the water’s edge is a covered boat dock with an inviting swinging bench.
This lakeside seating area is undoubtedly a favorite spot for family gatherings.
