Treehouse Designers Guide: Tree Top Builders

The roof of this treehouse is made of recycled material, cedar siding and handmade railings by an Amish woodworker.
Founder Dan Wright is an ISA-certified arborist, a builder and, at heart, a little boy who built his first treehouse at age eight with his father. "Throughout high school and college I worked at summer camps on challenge courses and always loved trees," he says. "I had experience in carpentry, so this seemed like a natural thing to do." Tree Top Builders offers full-service construction, consulting and design services, custom hardware and plans and workshops for the DIY treehouse builder.
