Yield: 16 doughnut bunnies

What You'll Need

  • (16) mini powdered doughnuts
  • (16) lollipop sticks
  • (16) marshmallows

  • (32) toothpicks

Be sure to purchase fresh doughnuts for this project. Moist doughnuts will hold their place on lollipop sticks, while crumbly doughnuts will slide around.

Insert Sticks Into Doughnuts

Insert a lollipop stick into the bottom of each doughnut, sliding the stick up until it passes through the doughnut’s hole and barely into the doughnut’s top layer.

Add Noses

Press a round, pink candy firmly into the center of each doughnut.

Create Ears

Using kitchen scissors, slice each marshmallow in half diagonally. You should now have 32 marshmallow pieces that resemble ears. Press the flat, sticky side of each marshmallow into a ramekin of pink sprinkles.

Attach Ears

Remove the marshmallows from the sprinkles, and flip them around so the pink sides face you. Then, insert toothpicks into the bottom of each marshmallow ear. Slide the toothpicks all the way into the ears, stopping just before they poke through the other side. Then, insert two marshmallow ears into the top of each doughnut pop. Insert the toothpicks diagonally so that one ear is angled to the left and the other ear is angled to the right.

Add Ribbon

Cut 16 pieces of pink ribbon to size, and tie them around the lollipop sticks, just under the doughnuts. Be sure to tie tight, and secure knots for extra support. Optional: Insert pops into floral foam, and place inside mini terra-cotta pots. Finish by adding crinkle paper on top.
