Sinister + Sweet DIY Terra-Cotta Candy Bowls
These Halloween candy bowls are a serious upgrade to the classic plastic pumpkin bucket.
Like us, you probably already buy terra-cotta pots for all of your indoor and outdoor planting needs. They're beautiful, inexpensive and never go out of style. But did you know that they're great for more than just planting? It’s time to toss that boring plastic candy bowl to the side and say hello to these terrifyingly cute terra-cotta candy bowls creations.

Start by gluing a square wooden bead to the bottom of a small terra-cotta saucer using permanent craft adhesive. Once dry, paint the saucer and a small terra-cotta pot black. Once the paint has dried, turn the pot over and glue a tall cylindrical glass vase to the bottom of the pot. Once the glue has had time to dry, wrap black wire around the vase a couple times and cut off using wire cutters.

Place a battery-powered tea candle in the bottom of the vase, fill it with yellow jelly beans, and place the tray on top. Finish the lantern by cutting a small piece of black wire and curling it into the holes of the wooden bead for a faux handle.

Use hot glue to attach two wooden beads opposite each other on the rim of a terra-cotta bowl. Once the glue has hardened, paint the bowl and beads black and let dry. Stuff a green glove with plastic grocery bags and hot glue red plastic nails to the finger tips. Fish the end of the glove through the drainage hole in the bowl so that the glove sticks upright. Use black duct tape to secure it in place. All that’s left is to find the perfect spot for your creepy creation and fill it with delicious candy!

Paint a small terra-cotta pot with black paint and allow to dry. On a protected surface, color one side of the pot with decoupage glue and sprinkle with black glitter. Once the decoupage glue has dried, glue four black pipe cleaners on each side of the pot and bend them to resemble spider legs. As a finishing touch, draw big black pupils on two white Ping-Pong balls and hot glue to the rim of the pot. Finally, time for some candy!
