Materials Needed

Size: 6' garland requires 12 stars

  • (60) 3 3/4" twigs
  • jute twine
  • raffia
  • scissors
  • hot glue gun
  • tape measure (optional)

Create Star Shape

Using five twigs, create a star shape by securing each twig together one at time using a bead of glue (Images 1, 2).

Tie With Raffia

Once the star shape is complete, tie off each corner with raffia (Image 1, 2).

Tie Stars Onto Rope

Next, determine the desired length of your garland. Measure, mark and cut the rope, leaving an extra 8" on either side to create a loop to hang the garland later. Using a small section of raffia, tie each star into place on the rope, spacing the stars about 6" apart.
