Tips for Sewing Quilt Rows
Transfer your pattern from the design wall stage to ensure precise row and block placement with these simple tips.

1. Lay out quilt blocks in the desired arrangement on a design wall and work with one row at a time.
2. Place a pin in the first block of the first row. Position the pin so the point is facing the upper left corner, indicating that that's the top row.
3. Arrange the rest of the blocks from that row in order under the first block and pin the stack together. Use a pin with a different-colored head or a safety pin so you don't confuse it with the row-marking pin.
4. Sew the first row of blocks together.
