DON’T assume the basket is dust-free before you spray-paint it
With a soft, clean paintbrush, sweep out the crevices between the rows of rattan or spray the basket with a few blasts from a can of compressed air.
DO keep the can of spray paint in steady, continuous motion
Holding the can stationary in front of the basket and pressing the nozzle will deposit too much paint in a single spot, causing gloppy drips. For even coverage, position the can to the left of the basket. Start spraying, then move and spray across the basket, and continue spraying all the way to the right until you’ve passed the basket. Repeat until the area is covered.
