Create beautiful one-of-a-kind hair pins for all the ladies in your wedding party.
Gather Your Supplies
For this craft you will need: tulle/buttons/needle /thread /felt /bobby pins /scissors.
Decide on a Shape
Cutting your petals in this shape will give you the flower featured in the first photo of this gallery.
Rounded Petals
You can also make a simpler flower like this. See the next photo for the petal shape to cut.
Simple Flower
Cut your shapes for the simple flower. Once you have selected a pattern, you will need to cut many of the same shape in a variety of sizes.
Layer Them On
Starting with the larger petals, layer them from large to small until you reach the top and your desired thickness. Then cut a quarter-sized circular piece of felt.
Stitch It Up
With the needle and thread, stitch the center of the flower to the center of the felt circular base.
Add the Button
Sew a button to the center of your flower.
Pin it Up
Cut a small rectangular piece of felt and whip stitch it onto the back of the felt leaving the shorter sides open. Slide a bobby pin inside to attach the flower to the hair.
After the Wedding
After the wedding, why not switch out the bobby pin for a safety pin and add a bloom to your favorite jacket?
