How to Make a Tea Bag

Materials and Tools:
coffee filter
needle and thick thread (embroidery floss)
colorful paper
pen and pencil
loose leaf tea
Instructions:
Step 1: Trace Circle
Trace a circle onto a coffee filter using a small cup, approximately 2 ½ inches in diameter.

Step 2: Sew Circle
Keeping the filter in tact, begin to sew around the circle leaving a small opening at the top.

Step 3: Fill Bag
Cut the circle out, and fill opening with loose leaf tea of your choice.

Step 4: Attach Special Note
Sew the opening closed, leaving enough extra string to attach a special note. To serve, pour boiling water into a cup, and let the tea bag steep for 4-6 minutes.

The earthy flavor from the green tea complements the salty roasted almonds and chocolate drizzle in this matcha green tea biscotti recipe.
