How to Make a Modern Textured Vase

Materials Needed:
- 1/2 yard lace with a finished edge
- large or small glass hurricane vase
- matte finish Mod Podge
- matte finish white acrylic paint
- 1" foam brush
- paintbrush
- scissors
Measure and Cut Lace
Measure the lace up against one of the hurricanes. Cut a strip of lace 4” from the edge, keeping the pretty edge on the strip.

Attach Lace to Vase
Apply a thick coat of Mod Podge on the top third of the glass. Wrap the lace strip around the glass, sticking it to the ModPodge.
Coat Vase With Glue
Apply a thick coat of Mod Podge over the entire glass, saturating the lace. Let dry.

Paint Vase With Acrylic Paint
Paint over the whole glass with matte acrylic paint. Let dry between coats. Paint on 3-4 coats, or until the glass is completely opaque.
