How to Make a Bohemian-Inspired Chandelier
(1) 10" embroidery hoop
(2) spools of brown faux leather
assorted round wood beads
artificial feathers in colors of choice
(1) screw hook
pendant light cord
low-watt light bulb
Cut the leather into 40" long strands.
You'll only be using the hoop that doesn't have the screw on it. Fold one leather strand in half, leaving the ends uneven. Thread the ends through the folded loop around the hoop creating an overhand knot. Pull tight. Continue to create overhand knots all the way around the hoop with all of the leather strands.
On every third strand, glue a feather.
On every other strand, thread and glue on a bead. You can leave a few leather strands empty, as well.
Gather Leather Strands
Bring six of the leather strands, evenly spaced apart, above the hoop. Knot them together.
Use a screw hook in your ceiling to hang the pendant light cord and chandelier. Place the light cord inside the chandelier with a low-watt bulb. This chandelier can also be displayed without a light.
