How to Give Vintage Trays a Boho-Chic Look

Materials Needed
brass or silver trays (scour your local flea market or thrift stores)
12x12" sheet of scrapbook paper in desired pattern (one for each tray)
pencil
scissors
decoupage glue and sealer
large paintbrush
Trace Tray
Place the tray on top of the scrapbook paper. Trace around the bottom of the tray with a pencil to make a rough stencil on the scrapbook paper.

Cut Traced Paper
Cut out the traced shape. Place it on the center of the tray, and cut away the extra paper until it fits perfectly. Set the paper to the side.

Apply Glue + Add Paper
Pour a small amount of decoupage glue in the center of the tray. Use a paintbrush to fully cover the bottom-inside of the tray. Place the paper on the glue, smoothing out any bubbles.

Add a Second Coat
Pour another small amount of decoupage glue on top of the paper. Brush it into an even and smooth layer over the paper. Let dry. Tip: You can add as many coats of decoupage glue and sealer as you like to create a waterproof coating on the paper.

Display With Jewelry
Use your "new", updated trays to display your favorite pieces of jewelry.
