Materials Needed

  • all-purpose cleaner
  • wire brush
  • multi-surface primer
  • paint roller
  • paintbrush
  • paint (two colors)
  • delicate-surface painter’s tape

Step 1

Clean the inside of the tub with an all-purpose cleaner. Scrape any old paint or dirt off the outside with a wire brush.

Step 2

Prime the tub using a roller and a multi-surface primer. Use a brush to prime the area of the tub around the feet. Let dry.

Step 3

Paint the entire tub exterior one color with a roller. Paint the feet with a brush. Let dry. Using delicate-surface painter’s tape, mark a line that sections off about one third of the tub, and paint everything to the left of it another color. Let dry, then remove the tape.
