How to Bring Wire Baskets Into This Decade
Stodgy bread baskets go boho. HGTV Magazine shows you how.

Materials Needed
Step 1
Wash and dry each basket, then polish with a product made for your basket’s finish.
Step 2
Cut an extra-long piece of faux-suede lacing. You can estimate how much you’ll need per color by loosely wrapping the lacing around the basket multiple times, for as many rows as you want, then adding a little more.
Step 3
Begin weaving the lacing in and out of the wires, starting at the top. When you want to change colors, cut the end, leaving a 1-inch-long tail hanging on the inside of the basket (you’ll trim it later).
Step 4
Repeat step 3 for each color. Trim all the tails and hot-glue them down.
