Materials Needed
- 4 quarts bleach
- 2 quarts water
- pinecones
- large bucket
- smaller bucket
- weight (we used a brick)
- floral wire
- garland
Soak
Combine the bleach and water in a large bucket and carefully drop in all of the pinecones. Put a brick or some other weight inside a smaller bucket. Then place the small bucket inside the large bucket to keep the pinecones completely submerged. Let them soak for 24 hours.

Dry + Decorate
Remove the bleached pinecones, and lay them out to dry in the sun until they open back up. Now they are ready for whatever craft project you desire. To attach them to greenery, simply use floral wire.
