pumpkin (fresh or foam)
scissors
decoupage medium
paintbrush
glitter
paper images

Steps:

1. Cut images out of paper. Good resources for fun images are gift wrap, napkins or magazines. Another option would be to photocopy lots of family photos or to print off Halloween images found on the Internet.

2. Apply decoupage medium to the back of paper image and place on pumpkin. Press image into pumpkin's creases.

3. To seal the image, brush a thin layer of decoupage medium over the paper. Continue adding images in this fashion until the pumpkin is covered.

4. Cover the entire pumpkin with one last coat of decoupage medium. While the medium is still wet, sprinkle glitter over the pumpkin. Tip: Because no knife is needed to create this pumpkin, it's a great project for even the smallest kids. Older kids can select and cut out their own images; for smaller children, cut a variety of images and let them select which ones to decorate their pumpkin with.
