- bulky yarn
- thin cotton thread
- cotton twine
- scissors
- plank measure
- fabric dye
- water

Dye Yarn
Follow the instructions for the fabric dye to prep the dye water (Image 1). Add each dye color to a separate bowl, and continuously dip the yarn into each (Image 2). Remove the yarn from the bowls, and hang to dry completely (Image 3).

Make Tassels
Wind yarn around a 4” plank measure about 8-10 times (Image 1). Cut two 3” pieces of thin cotton thread. Lift the wound-up yarn from the plank measure, slide a thin piece of thread under it and double knot (Image 2). Carefully remove the yarn from the plank measure. Wrap the second thread around the top of the yarn, and secure with a double knot (Image 3). Trim excess yarn by holding the base of the tassel bundle and cutting a straight line across. Repeat for each tassel.

Hang Tassels
Cut multiple 35” strands of cotton twine. Attach each strand by tying a knot around the dowel rod (Image 1). Attach tassels on each twine strand using the knotted thread at the top of each tassel (Image 2). Create a pattern by hanging at varying heights and adjusting strands (Image 3). Trim excess twine, and hang in the living room, bedroom or bathroom (Image 4).
