Film-Inspired Oscar Party Invitation

Guests won't have to wonder what kind of party you're hosting when they receive a film reel canister with their invitation tucked inside. Start your Oscar night on an exciting note with these glitzy, film-inspired invites.

Materials Needed:

  • 7-inch silver film can
  • 1 sheet heavy card-stock paper
  • 1 full sheet label
  • foam board
  • spray adhesive
  • gold pen
  • gold glitter

Print Template

Download and print invitation template.


Fill In Party Details

Carefully cut out circle, and write party details in metallic gold ink.


Create Oscar Stencil

Print trophy template, and carefully cut out Oscar trophy shape using craft knife. Place stencil to right of party details, and spray adhesive over stencil.


Pour Glitter

Keep Oscar stencil in place, and generously pour gold glitter over adhesive. Allow three minutes to dry and remove stencil.


Cut Foam Board

Trace circular invitation onto foam board, and carefully cut out using craft knife. Spray adhesive onto foam circle, and press invitation to front. Film tin can with metallic gold shred, and place circular invitation inside.


Print Label

Insert full sheet label into printer. Download label template, fill in invitee names and print. Option: Hand-write names in circle after printing.


Attach Label

Carefully cut out circle, peel back layer and stick to front of film can.


Send to Guests

Your Oscar party invitation is complete! Send to invitees, and prepare for your big night.
