Maple Walnut Dip

The combination of toasted walnuts and maple flavor will have you coming back for seconds.

4 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/4 cups powdered sugar
1 tablespoon milk or cream
1/2 cup toasted walnuts, chopped
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1/8 teaspoon maple extract (optional)

Yield: 1 cup


Using a hand mixer, blend together the cream cheese, vanilla, maple syrup and extract until smooth. Slowly add the powdered sugar, mixing well. Add the cream or milk as necessary for consistency, and fold in the chopped nuts. Serve with your favorite berries.
