Hot Dog Topping Recipe: Bacon Jam

Ingredients
Makes enough for 8-10 hot dogs.
- 1 lb. bacon, chopped
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup red wine
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1-2 árbol chiles
- Chopped jalapeno, to garnish (optional)
- Shredded cheddar cheese, to garnish (optional)
Preparation
Add chopped bacon to a saucepan over medium heat and cook until crisp. Strain off about half the fat. Add all other ingredients and reduce liquid by half. Remove chili and serve immediately, with chopped jalapeno and optional cheddar.
