'Twin Peaks' Home Exterior

Located in Everett, Wash., the 4,000-square-foot home used as the base for the fictional Palmer family in Twin Peaks was listed for sale in 2014. Created by David Lynch and Mark Frost, the wildly popular and uber-creepy serial drama only ran for two seasons and was mostly filmed in the Washington towns of Snoqualmie and North Bend.

Laura Palmer, played by Sheryl Lee, was the homecoming queen mysteriously murdered in a sleepy and odd town called Twin Peaks. The consequent investigation of said murder was the primary focus of the show, which was nominated for several Emmys and won three Golden Globes – one for actor Kyle MacLachlan and one for best television drama.

Despite the dark nature of the TV series, the home is quite open and airy. Built in the 1930s, it’s brimming with timeless character.

The living room features a fireplace and large windows that flood the space with natural light.

In addition to the TV series, the home can also be seen in the follow-up feature film Fire Walk With Me.

Not much has changed in the kitchen since Twin Peaks was filmed. The sizable space features an island and enough room for a breakfast table.

We think the skylights may have been added since 1990 and are a nice touch.

French doors separate the hallway from the dramatic red dining room.

Many rooms in the home have hardwood floors that have been beautifully refinished.

The house has four bedrooms, including this restful space with a fireplace.

A second bedroom features cream-colored walls and carpeting.

The home has just one full bathroom – like the Brady Bunch, apparently the Palmers shared one bathroom and this is it.

The powder room features both wall and base cabinets for ample storage.

The rocking chair in the corner of this bedroom can actually be seen on the TV series. In many rooms, large windows frame views of Washington’s Possession Sound.

The finished basement is plenty large enough to serve as a rec room or den.

The back of the residence opens to a patio and grassy lawn.

Backyard

The home sits on a double lot and is located in a historic district known as Rucker Hill. An eponymously named park is within walking distance.

Garage

The standalone garage can house two cars. What do you think Laura would’ve parked here had she survived?
