A Pretty in Pink House in East Nashville
Social media influencer and retro connoisseur Beverly Griffith @thehouseofadora has created a gorgeous shrine to the color pink in her historic East Nashville home. Beverly painted her home in 2021 and "it's gone crazy since then," she says, often booked as a location for photo and music video shoots for Kacey Musgraves, British-born and Nashville-based singer Yola and Hawthorne Heights.
Homeowner and Influencer Beverly Griffith Brings the Glamour
The woman behind The House of Adora is an avid collector with a special love of telephones, mirrors and vintage items from the Sixties and Seventies. Her design sweet spot is a blend of Hollywood Regency and Eighties Postmodernism. Her Nashville home is a museum of design trends come and gone that she blends into a vibrant whole. "I buy something and if it doesn't work, I sell it" says Beverly of a space that is "always a work in progress."
The Power of a Pink Entry
It's hard to deny the sense of welcome, fun and curiosity about what lurks inside delivered in Beverly's gorgeous Valentine's Day card entry defined by a vintage Peacock Chair. Naysayers have told Beverly her home would drop in value when she painted it pink, but the opposite is true: her home has become a local and even national testament to the power of tailoring your home to your personal tastes. All of the exterior pinks on the home are from Farrell-Calhoun and include Garden Glory 1106 on the body of the house, Dollie 1115 on the house trim and Pink Explosion 1108 on the porch and doors.

Beverly found the gilt cage sourced from Nordstrom's at a local vintage store. The lace curtains on the front door diffuse light and add a little privacy. Inspired by the '60s and '70s, Beverly's signature style is Americana luxe with nods to Elvis, Las Vegas, Jayne Mansfield and old Hollywood.

Beverly finds her vintage treasures on Facebook Marketplace, Instagram and estate sales and has driven as far as Columbus, Ohio for a great find. If she finds a deal she can't pass up but isn't able to make the drive, Beverly often uses uShip. But her compact SUV is surprisingly accommodating she says. "People are like, 'that's not going to fit,'" and she says "watch me."
A Rich Red Bedroom Designed for Serious Rest
This bedroom with its red shag walls and this Byzantine style lamp is meant to be cozy, enveloping and ideal for a seriously good night's rest. "I don't understand not using color" says Beverly of her aggressive leaning in to pink, red, green, cobalt blue, orange and rust in her historic home. The vintage telephone is one of the 15+ that Beverly has in her collection. "They make very good props" she says, for the many photo shoots that have happened at her home.
This Bathroom Demonstrates the Versatility of Pink
Beverly's single bathroom is all-in when it comes to pink: pink tile, pink tub, even pink toilet paper. The fuchsia tile on the floor and walls has a subtle pattern and was sourced on Zazzle. Beverly has contrasted all of that pink with sparkly gold accents.
