Modern and Rustic Mix

This chain-link chandelier constructed from cast iron in the dining room illuminates the space from above. The eye-catching light fixture with a blackened iron finish reflects the home’s interesting mix of contemporary and traditional design elements.

Vintage-Style Floor Lamp

A chair by the bed in the guest bedroom includes this midcentury-style adjustable floor lamp with blackened steel and a vintage brass finish, which makes it easy to get comfortable and catch up on some reading.

Chic Library Lights

Three wall sconces with a natural brass finish above a large bookcase help illuminate the library. The eye-catching, zigzag sconces have an attractive, elegant yet casual style.

Bringing the Drama

In the entry off the front door, two striking, three-tier chandeliers with a six-foot drop chain bring the drama. The gothic-style light fixtures are done in roughly hewn brass with a natural patina, which ensures that no two chandeliers will be exactly the same.

Two-Arm Sconces

In the well-detailed master bedroom, a custom two-arm iron sconce was placed on each side of the bed to illuminate the space and help keep the tops of the nightstands free for decorative items and plants, or books for nighttime reading.

Glamourous Chandelier

The light-filled office off the great room with large single-hung vinyl windows and smart skylights also includes a glamourous chandelier with dangling hand-cut Lucite panels that hang from a simple frame that offers beautiful diffused light from above.

Above-Mirror Lighting

This streamlined above-mirror vanity light triples the design of the single wall sconces also used in the master bathroom. The lights are mounted on an attractive vintage silver backplate with frosted glass shades that create a soft, welcoming light.

Illuminating the Kitchen

Two oversized, custom-made light fixtures that come off the back wall of the kitchen extend to illuminate the breakfast area with different seating options, including a custom church pew. The large fixtures combine clean, modern lines with a bit of sophistication.

Midcentury Style

A beautiful black curvilinear two-armed wall sconce in the kids’ bedroom offers a modern take on midcentury style with a sculptural metal body and metal accents in a brass finish, paired with black shell-shaped shades. The easy plug-in design of this two-armed wall sconce requires no hardwiring.

Showstopping Fixture

Designer Tiffany Brooks found a very old cathedral light fixture that she had replicated locally in Dallas. The showstopping fixture that measures 42 inches wide now hangs over the great room seating area to offer stylish illumination and serve as a conversation-starter for this home with Old World style.
