It seems like school starts earlier and earlier every year, but this year a lucky group of Waco sixth graders had a lot more than early mornings and late-night homework to look forward to.
The folks at Magnolia Market gave one lucky teacher an incredible classroom makeover with all the charm of HGTV’s Fixer Upper. Keep scrolling to check out this adorable space.

It didn’t take long for the Waco community to nominate beloved math teacher, Ms. Nixon, for a total classroom makeover.
And when the time came to finally see the big reveal, Ms. Nixon was all smiles. This stylish new desk and gorgeous pendant light caught her attention right off the bat. And a warm area rug underfoot really sets the tone for a cozy atmosphere where she and her students will feel right at home.

Other aspects that contribute to the room’s super homey vibe: warm wood awnings and window boxes adorned with succulents, cute carts and cubbies for much-needed storage, and of course, Joanna’s signature shiplap walls in crisp white.

A computer center in one corner looks super smart in a classic black-and-white color palette. Have you ever seen a filing cabinet look so chic?

And, of course, the makeover just wouldn’t be complete without some inspirational art by Chip and Joanna’s pal, Jimmy Don. “Life is a math equation. In order to gain the most, you must convert the negatives into positives.” Definitely words to live by!
