Fans of HGTV's Flipping Virgins already know that the show, spun off of parent series Property Virgins, focuses on host Egypt Sherrod's accessible, practical real-estate advice for first-time home flippers, and that the the series is based in Atlanta, Ga. What they may not know (because it was just announced today) is that the popular series has moved into a new prime-time slot on HGTV, with new episodes now airing Wednesdays at 11p|10c — beginning tonight.

Egypt wasted no time giving the move a big thumb's-up via her Instagram feed — with the Insta hashtag #movingonuplikethejeffersons.
For those uninitiated on just why this show and its host are so hot and deserving of your attention, you should know that Egypt has more than 15 years of experience in house flipping, and she dispenses down-to-earth, real-world advice to first-timers in the realm of real-estate investing.
And on a somewhat more personal note, refer to our recent post, "10 Things You Didn't Know About Egypt Sherrod". Spoiler alert: She once sang on stage with Prince, and Oprah once praised her choice in footwear. How's that for two one-name-celebrity name drops?
Speaking of name-drops, just this past year Egypt crossed paths with the President and First Lady, Barack and Michelle Obama, (and not forgetting first dogs Sunny and Bo) when she hosted HGTV's White House Christmas 2016 special.

The first episode of Flipping Virgins to air in the new time slot is titled "Atlanta Flip Mascot", and Egypt guides first-time flippers Bonnie and Drew through their first house flip. Drew and Bonnie are a young couple eager to get their feet wet in Atlanta's currently hopping real-estate market.

They're operating on a $150,000 budget, have been wanting to give house-flipping a try but are complete novices. Once they decide on a property, the discovery and rescue of a kitten in a wall provides a good omen, but a costly renovation setback brings some unexpected challenges. Ultimately, the renovation includes an opened-up floor plan, a to-die-for kitchen and Egypt's trademark inventive decorating and staging. And there are macaroons.
