Wonderful Warm-Weather Wines That Aren't Rosé

You don't have to drink pink to celebrate beautiful weather.

Okay, okay, I know rosé is pretty much synonymous with warm-weather imbibing these days — and for good reason. It's crisp, decidedly drinkable and refreshing, but pink wine shouldn't be the only vino you enjoy this spring and summer. There are plenty of white wines, sparkling wines and even red wines that are just as well-suited to sunny days and balmy nights.

Now, don't think I'm implying you should totally abandon your favorite rosés. This is just a little encouragement to give other sips a much-deserved chance. A glass of bubbly or a nice Sauvignon blanc is sure to bring warm-weather vibes your way, as well. These 10 wines are the perfect choices when you're looking to pop a bottle in the coming months.

1: Lila Sparkling Cans

That's right, the canned wine craze continues! And this sparkling variety is leading the pack thanks to its refreshing citrus notes, unbeatable bubbles and photo-ready label.

2: Outer Sounds Sauvignon Blanc

This food-friendly option features tropical notes and, according to Winc's wine director, Katie Owen, has "a bright acidity that hits the palate at first sip, then lingers and rounds off with a grassy finish."

3: Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio

This wine is the number-one selling pinot grigio for a reason. It's versatile enough to enjoy with a meal or at cocktail hour, and it has a clean, dry finish that's sure to please.

4: Mija Sangria

Sangria has been a warm-weather favorite for years. I mean, how can you get more summery than combining fruit and wine?. But the pre-made versions usually leave something to be desired. Mija stands out from the rest thanks to the inclusion of real fruit and a homemade taste.

5: Mezza di Mezzacorona

This sparkling wine screams spring thanks to its cute, blue label. The Italian Glacial Bubbly features white peach, pineapple and wild-mountain rose flavors, making it well-suited for celebrations and everyday enjoyment.

6: Rosa Obscura Red Blend

This lush California blend features notes of cherry, strawberry, cassis, dark cocoa and violet and is the perfect choice to accompany a steak dinner alfresco or as a well-deserved nightcap.

7: Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc

Hailing from New Zealand, this Sauvignon blanc features notes of tropical fruits that scream summer, including guava, pineapple and mango.

8: Field Theory Albarino

Katie Owens, Winc's wine director, says the Albarino grape "delivers everything you could possibly want in a white wine: the freshness and crispness of a Sauvignon blanc, complemented by roundness, slickness and body."

9: 90+ Cellars Lot 27 Reserve Barbera

Barbera isn't just a common name for humans, it's also an underrated variety of red wine that's perfect for steamier temperatures. According to 90+ Cellars, Barbera wine has an "acidity and cool backbone that brings down the weight that can often be found in heartier reds."

10: Cape Route Chenin Blanc

This delightful, well-rounded Chenin blanc is an ideal fit for ceviche, clams in white wine sauce or spring vegetables thanks to its notes of lychee, orange zest, white peach, pineapple and grapefruit.
