Still looking for a Valentine’s Day gift? Skip the drug store seasonal aisle and consider a gift that donates proceeds to an important cause. I guarantee these thoughtful ideas will warm the heart of your Valentine and continue to give long after the month of February.

For a Beauty Queen

Basically everything from the (RED) online shop is perfect for Valentine’s Day. It’s all red, people. But if you haven’t made a (RED) purchase in a while, consider it. This organization is still fighting such an important fight: to deliver the first AIDS-free generation. Check out their ALEX AND ANI partner bracelets. Or, what I’m really excited about, their partnership with Fresh! Yes, there’s now a SUGA(RED) lip treatment. See what they did there? Both of these purchases provide more than two weeks of live-saving pills.

For Date Night

Skip the reservation drama and have a romantic dinner at home with a bottle of ONE HOPE Wine. Each bottle supports a different cause. And they have so many glitter bottles! The red glitter Pinot Noir supports heart disease prevention and the rainbow glitter bottle supports The Trevor Project, which provides suicide prevention services for LGBT youth. If you’re looking for something at a lower price point, several of their bottles are less than $20, like the California Chardonnay that helps fight breast cancer.

For Tweens and Teens

I bought my first Pura Vida bracelet at a music festival and it comes out often as a summer accessory staple. The pink and red cords are perfect for Valentine’s Day and stacking with other bracelets. Each bracelet supports artisans in Costa Rica plus select partner bracelets benefit specific charities.

For Someone Dapper

You may not have heard of Tie the Knot but you’ve heard of its co-founder, Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson. The organization releases a collection of bow ties each season and the proceeds support LGBT equality across the world. You can see the latest collection at The Tie Bar.

For Someone Who Needs Reminding

I was given a key from The Giving Keys last year when I was going through a tough time. Each key has one word engraved on it – any word you choose – by a staffer transitioning out of homelessness. My word reminds me just how strong I really am. You wear your key until you’ve embraced your word. Then you pass your key along to someone who needs the message more than you.

For the Baker

Make your own treats this year with Lily’s Sweets gourmet, Stevia-sweetened baking bars and baking chips. The company was named after the co-founder’s niece, a brain cancer survivor. Lily’s donates a percentage of profits each year to provide services for children with cancer and their families.

For a Stranger

After Valentine’s Day, why not give your flowers to someone who needs a pick-me-up? Random Acts of Flowers recycles flowers from grocery stores and donations and extends the life by creating new arrangements to give to people in health care facilities. These flowers bring smiles to people who may not have family or get visitors. If there’s not a Random Acts of Flowers near you, you can also donate to support the team who make and deliver these arrangements.

For the Office

I work at HGTV. We get excited about holidays. So the Friday before Valentine’s Day weekend is going to be a marathon of cute crafts and free goodies wherever I go. I like the brownie boxes from Greyston Bakery because I can set them out by my desk and have a sweet treat ready for any co-workers who pass by. The bakery provides employment and “a new chance at life” to anyone regardless of social barriers like homelessness.

For the Nature Lover

Some of our national forests have taken a major beating in the last couple of years from wildfires. Every dollar donation to the Arbor Day Foundation plants a tree. And Tahoe National Forest and Chippewa National Forest could use some TLC. You’ll also get a gift certificate you can give your Valentine, too.

For the Dog and Cat Lovers

Rescue Chocolate is “the sweetest way to save a life!” 100% of the proceeds from these vegan chocolates go to a different animal rescue shelter each month and bring awareness to issues from feral cat overpopulation to countering the bad rep pit bulls get.

For the All the Animals! Lover

The delicious chocolate bites and bars from Endangered Species help our most at-risk wildlife, from adorable red pandas to not-so-adorable-but-vital-to-our-ecosystem insects. You can also spread the love with their new cocoa and nut butters. Valentine’s brunch just got a lot sweeter.

For the Mindful

Every Lokai bracelet has a black bead and a white bead. The black bead represents the lows we all experience in life and is full of mud from the Dead Sea, the lowest point in the world. The white bead represents when we're on top of the world and is full of water from Mount Everest. The rest of the beads are clear and show that life is full of many cycles. These bracelets teach hope and humbleness. Lokai's charity shop features tented bracelets that support causes such as this month's purple Lokai for the Alzheimer's Association.

For a Teacher

Everyone has that one friend who is obsessed with office supplies. Now, the obsession might be justified. For every item you buy at Yoobi, Yoobi will donate an item to a school in need. They’ve already donated enough school supplies to help one million kids. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, all the pink things are 15% off!
