Briana pitched a variety of fuchsia shades that felt fresh and new, but ultimately I landed on a juicy shade of pink. "It’s like someone gave maroon a makeover! They’re refreshing berry sorbet palate cleansers after we’ve binged on their darker, heavier incarnations – oxblood, anyone?," says Briana. "Romantic and plush, they conjure up images of crushed velvet for me."
Powder Blue

Deanne came in strong with celestine, powder blue's gemstone twin, to win everyone's hearts over. "I still see a lot of riffs from minerals and palette cues from geodes, and I’m hoping that celestine is next to shine," notes Deanne. "This blue-gray is a hushed, delicate alternative to the recent obsession with heavy charcoals. It’s still a little smoky but soft and ethereal. It’s considered an angelic stone and helps purify, destress and focus."
