12 Ways to Bring Order to Your Tiny Home
Clear the clutter with smart (and chic!) storage solutions.
If space is at a premium in your home, you're probably always searching for creative storage solutions. Small spaces aren’t usually known for their generous closets or expansive pantry spaces. My little home is only 750 square feet, so I’m definitely a card-carrying member of the Small Space Club.
I've rounded up 12 of my favorite picks to help you tackle just about every storage challenge in your home — with style.
1: Leaning Mirror
This full-length mirror easily leans against the wall, so you don’t need to worry about mounting it. Plus, it comes with hooks and rods to help with additional storage. You can use the hooks for scarves, purses, jewelry and hats. And with a couple of hooks, you could even hang baskets on the rods to store even more accessories.
2: Shoe Storage Ottoman
If your shoe collection is spilling out of your closet, we've got a chic solution. You can use this shoe storage ottoman as extra seating in your living room or at the end of your bed. Plus, guests will never know that you're conveniently storing 12 pairs of shoes inside.
3: Shoe Rack
When you only have a tiny amount of space in your entryway, a bench like this might be the perfect solution. It offers a convenient spot underneath to store shoes, and you could keep a basket or two on top to store winter gear and mail.
4: Corner Hanging Bar
This corner bar could be a lifesaver in tiny spaces. You could use it in an unused corner of your room for extra hanging space, or add it inside a simple reach-in closet to give yourself more room to hang clothes. It would even be great in a laundry room to hang clothes that need to be air dryed.
5: Wall-Mounted Towel Rack
The stylish and slim profile of this towel rack means it will fit in several different spaces around your home. Did you think about taking it outside the bathroom? Use it in your living room to hold extra blankets or in your entryway to store coats, sweatshirts and scarves.
6: Kitchen Storage Tower
For anyone who loves to cook, there are few things that are more challenging in a tiny house than a small kitchen. Luckily, this steel storage tower can help double your space in a petite kitchen. Its design lets you set up the tower over a cart or a mini-fridge to maximize your space, and it gives you two large shelves and a bar to store dish towels or kitchen utensils.
7: Glass Shadow Boxes
These glass shadow boxes would work great as storage for jewelry, remote controls or bathroom essentials, like cotton swabs or makeup brushes.
8: Office Organizer
This all-in-one, wall-mounted organizer would be an amazing addition to any tiny office. There are several hooks, nooks and shelves to help you get all of your office supplies organized.
9: Beauty Mirror + Shelf
When you’re short on space in a small bathroom, a cubby shelf like this is a great solution. Mounted to the wall, this cubby provides a convenient spot for storing hair-styling tools and other beauty essentials.
10: Kitchen Shelf
Here’s a sturdy wood shelf that would be a great option when you need extra space in the kitchen but don’t have a ton of available wall space. The hooks are perfect for mugs, utensils or kitchen towels.
11: Circular Wall Shelf
This round shelf is versatile enough to use in several different spots around your home. It would be great in a bathroom to store rolled towels and aesthetically-pleasing toiletries. Take it into your entryway and use it as your key drop.
12: Hanging Jewelry Organizer
This organizer is a great choice for anyone with an ample necklace collection. The hooks allow you to keep all of your necklaces super organized. You can also use the hooks to hang earrings or headphones.
