10 Dining Room Chandeliers for Every Design Style

They do more than just provide light; they also make serious design statements.

They come in a variety of shapes, sizes and materials, and I'm in love with them all. Whether they’re dripping in crystal with ornate details and tiers of elegance or boasting an out-of-the-box modern design, chandeliers just know how to tie a space together. These 10 dining room chandeliers are no exception.

I’ve put together a collection of my favorite dining spaces ranging from coastal to traditional that dazzle with opulent, over-the-top light fixtures. I imagine this is how the royal family dines.

White Transitional Dining Room

Lavish Transitional Dining Room With Crystal Chandelier, Orange Dining Chairs and Glass China Shelving

Glass china cabinets with mirrored backs create a beautifully bright and reflective backdrop for this dining room. Glass french doors and an enchanting crystal chandelier fit the sophisticated and airy feel of the design. A long wood dining table pops against the white backdrop and the bold orange chair cushions create an accent of color.

Midcentury Modern

Bright Neutral Dining Room With Vintage Furniture and Decor

Mid-Century Modern Dining Room From Sarah Sees Potential

As seen on season 1 of Sarah Sees Potential, this open plan dining room got a chic, mid-century modern makeover. Designer Sarah Richardson upcycled thrift store dining chairs by dipping the legs in chrome and reupholstering the seats. Keeping with the vintage theme, she installed a fun mid-century modern chandelier and two matching floating storage cabinets in a bright blue to match the owner's original artwork. A custom banquette and vintage wood dining table complete the look.

What’s a midcentury modern dining room without a sputnik-inspired light fixture to complete the space? Designer Sarah Richardson upcycled thrift store dining chairs with new upholstery to add to the vintage charm.

Rustic Modern

Rustic Modern Dining Room With Wooden Dining Table

The chic light fixtures above the rustic dining table in this dining room offer a fresh take on the classic wagon wheel chandelier. Dark artwork lends drama to the room, and a vase of fresh flowers adds a punch of life and color.

Why have one chandelier when you could have two? This dining room by Tineke Triggs offers a modern spin on the wagon wheel chandelier. By placing two eye-catching light fixtures at the ends of the rustic dining table, the room appears elongated and open.

Rustic Romantic

There are two amazing things happening in this room by James Wheeler. The antler chandelier paired with rich, brown leather dining chairs establishes a rustic vibe, but the pastel pink upholstery and gold wall accents soften the space and create a romantic feel.

The dazzling light fixture draws the eye up to the unique architecture on the ceiling and creates a wave effect with different lengths of beads and crystals. White Breakfast Nook With Colorful Accents

Yellow, Mint Green, Watermelon Pink Accents Create Summery Color Scheme in Casual Breakfast Nook

The casual nature of this breakfast nook is amplified by the mismatched seating arranged around a simple white dining table. To up the fun factor, the Chango & Co. design team added bright, yellow lantern-style pendant lights that work with the mint-colored chairs and watermelon pink table settings for a summery color scheme.

The globe chandelier dressed in crystal is definitely an attention grabber in this contemporary dining area. A low-profile table and chairs leave all the focus to the stunning light fixture.

Blue and White Coastal Dining Room

Blue and White Coastal Dining Room With Graphic Wallpaper

A bold wallpaper in a smaller room can sometimes make the space feel more intimate. In this dining room, a graphic blue-and-white pattern jazzes up the wall above the wainscoting and is a dynamic pairing with the white tree branch chandelier.

Nothing represents coastal style more than a coral-inspired chandelier. With the blue, graphic wallpaper and the airiness established by the white furnishings, this coastal dining room makes you feel like you're at the beach. Chango and Co., you just know how to use a great chandelier.

Monochromatic Palette

Neutral, Coastal Dining Room With Capiz Chandelier

Formal Dining Room is Coastal, Welcoming

Designer Becki Owens transforms a dark, Tuscan space into a formal, yet fresh dining room with a soft, elegant feel. The room is inspired by a Capiz chandelier, creating an iridescent, beachy focal point that the eye is immediately drawn to. A rustic dining table is surrounded by comfortable, tufted chairs with nailhead trim.

Oh, how dreamy this dining room by Becki Owens is. The cream and neutral color palette make for a bright and elegant space, while the capiz chandelier is a subtle tribute to the sea with tiers of capiz shells strung together to create a stunning focal piece.

Color Statement

Transitional Dining Room With Orange Accents and Aqua Chandelier

Dramatic Dining Room in Shades of Blue, Beige and Tangerine

A lovely face with eyes downcast greets you as you enter this striking dining room that combines colors and textures in exceptional ways. An aqua chandelier and dining chairs make a contemporary statement against the more traditionally designed dining table and mirrored sideboard. And the pop of orange chosen for the decorative pieces completes this stunning design.

Go big or go home, right? Instead of the classic crystal look, this chandelier went bold in a bright aqua hue drawing in all the attention. The intricate design of the chandelier is still maintained, but the use of a bold color is a breath of fresh air. Pops of orange give this transitional dining room by Ana Donohue a bit more drama.
