DIY Lemon Laundry Detergent Pods

Ingredients
- 1 bar Castile soap
- 1 cup washing soda
- 1/4 cup baking soda
- 1/4 cup Epsom salt
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- 10 drops lemon essential oil
Prepare Ingredients
Grate soap in a food processor using the grating attachment, or use a hand grater.
Mix It Up
Combine grated soap, washing soda and Epsom salt in a large bowl.
Note: To make your own washing soda, place a thin layer of baking soda in a pan and bake at 400 degrees F for 35-40 minutes, mixing halfway through. Be careful when removing from the oven as this can be an irritant to your eyes and throat.
Add white vinegar one tablespoon at a time until mixture is clumpy.
Create Packed Pods
Tightly pack mixture into an ice cube tray using your fingers. Let it dry for at least 24 hours.

Remove, Store + Use!
Remove the pods using a butter knife, and place pods in an airtight container until laundry day. Use one pod for regular loads and two for bulky loads.
