South African artist Danielle Clough creates her adorably diminutive works in embroidery which she then mounts in a small frame or wooden hoop. We're obsessed with this utterly whimsical squinting fox, the perfect mantle piece art object for a dollhouse or ideal to hang in a baby's room.

Little Eats

Tel Aviv, Israel-based artist Shay Aaron is a theatrical stage designer by day, but in his spare time he creates miniature replicas of food in polymer clay like this tiny turkey dinner.

Artist in his Studio

Connecticut-based artist Joe Fig makes gorgeously detailed dollhouse-scale miniature set pieces of contemporary artists' studios. Fig visits and conducts interviews with actual working artists and has documented the working spaces, materials and even miniature paintings in progress of artists including Chuck Close, Roxy Paine, Eric Fischl and Tom Friedman. "I find artists to be some of the hardest working people I know," Fig told Think Small author Eva Katz.

Mini Midcentury

Artist Michael Yurkovic creates exact replicas of vintage midcentury modern pieces like this tiny version of a Herman Miller Eames molded plastic rocker from 1948.

It's a Small World

South African artist Lorraine Loots works entirely in watercolors to create paintings "for ants" she jokes, at only 4x4 inches. Painting small is a full-time job for Loots who typically spends between 6-8 hours on one painting and usually focuses on Capetown, South Africa-related themes.

Small Monster

Pop-surrealist illustrator Mab Graves is based in Indianapolis, Indiana but exhibits her tiny fairy tale and film-inspired oil paintings in galleries around the world.

Los Angeles mixed-media artist Sergio Garcia has worked in graffiti, street art and custom paint jobs for motorcycles and cars. He also crafts his quirky miniature bikes and tricycles complete with subtle, surreal details.

Statue of Liberty Goes Tiny

Russian artist Salavat Fidai uses a craft knife and 4x magnifying glass to create his sculptures atop pencils. The works take anywhere from six to 12 hours to make. Fidai also paints artworks on seeds and his favorite canvas is the pumpkin seed.
