Home Exterior

The former home of newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst, the legendary Beverly House sits on 3.7 acres and boasts a whopping 17 bedrooms and 29 bathrooms. In 2013, the home was listed for rent at $600,000 per month, making it the highest-priced residential rental in the history of Los Angeles. The longest private drive in Beverly Hills leads to a motor courtyard with an elaborate fountain.

Entryway

Banking executive Milton Getz built the house in the 1920s with an impressive 50-foot entry hall and loggia.

Living Room

Actress Marion Davies bought the home in 1946 for William Randolph Hearst, who immediately took to the paneled walls, French doors, elaborate fireplaces, and floor-to-ceiling arched windows. The newspaper tycoon lived in the house until the day he died.

Dining Room

After Hearst's tenure at the Beverly House, it served as a honeymoon spot for Jacqueline and John F. Kennedy.

Library

The Beverly House library is famous, with hand-carved woodwork and a staircase leading to bookshelves and a second-story wraparound balcony.

Billiard Room

The billiard room features herringbone parquet wood floors and a massive stone carved fireplace that once graced Hearst Castle in San Simeon. The home's other impressive features include two screening rooms, an art deco nightclub and a tennis compound.

Pool

If you remember The Bodyguard with Kevin Costner and Whitney Houston, you'll recognize this expansive pool. Scenes from The Godfather were also filmed at the estate.

The landscaping, Venetian columns and cascading waterfalls to the pool would have made William Randolph Hearst feel right at home in his Southern California castle.
